I've tried lots of others to varying degrees of success, but for whatever reason -- cavernous or misformed ear canals, etc. -- most of them just wouldn't fit right or stay in my ear. These do a really great job, I'm guessing because of the ribbed "grippers" they have. They seem to be just a little longer too than others I've tried, so maybe that allows them to go further into the ear and seal better. Anyway when worn properly they clearly make things MUCH quieter, for me, than others I've tried. I also like having the connecting string option; that may or may not work best for all applications but the user can decide. I just wish they weren't "day-glo" yellow. Not sure why it's so important that they are so visible! 5Good Ear PlugsBeen using these for years and have never found any better. 4Best foam earplugs for large ear canals.I have tried almost every earplug out there. These are the best foam earplugs on the market if you have a very large ear canal. They block out noise amazingly well, and they are the only earplugs that are big enough for my large ear canal. They are quite comfortable for me. However, if you have a smaller ear canal, these will probably be uncomfortable for you. My wife tried them and found them uncomfortable, but she has small ear canals. I carefully remove the blue cable and wear these while sleeping or when using loud machines like lawnmowers. 5Comfortable and crazy quietUsually use these for shooting and they work great. Took them to the tractor pull and sat front row, ears were safe even though the sound rattled my teeth 5
