    Nice camera...while it worked. The camera was a bit of a pain to set up initially. The IVMS software lets you change SOME settings, but not all. I was lucky enough to find the latest IE browser plug-in on their website and was able to modify the settings via the browser after that. (Seriously though, when are these manufacturers going to support newer browsers??? IE, really??)The picture was nice, the zoom was amazing, and the camera had all of the adjustments you would expect. Seems good, right? The problem arose when I powered the camera down and powered it back on later in the day.After power cycling the camera, ALL of my settings were gone. I had to go back to the default IP address to try and set it up again. More issues. When trying to log in via the web browser, the camera returned the error "Network Anomaly", whatever that means. When I tried to re-establish communication via the IVMS software, the camera was never on-line. Basically, I lost all ability to access the thing! There is no 'reset' button, so after a couple of hours fiddling with it, back into the box it went. Amazon/Imporx can have this one back. Of the very few reviews, they are all positive, so maybe I just got a bad camera. That's why I left it at 2 stars. I just know that I'm done with them at this point. I've already purchased my replacement camera from another manufacturer. 2Best outdoor camera This is an amazing outdoor security camera. The 20 x optical zoom is truly phenomenal. I can see all the way across the lake in my backyard, better than with binoculars. The pan/tilt are so fast it can make you dizzy, and the speed is adjustable so it works perfectly. I can follow boats pulling water skiers and birds flying. The autofocus is spot on and quick. After a rain, the wiper can be used to clean the lens. (should happen automatically but doesn't). I bought this one, which is much too expensive, because I wanted to try the auto tracking feature. Unfortunately, autotracking doesn't really work. It is too sensitive, even on the least sensitive setting so the camera jumps around, following ghosts or bugs or something and never stays on the person who is walking around in front of the camera. It would be a cool feature if there was a lot more control over it. I have tried to use it, but always have it turn it off. I couldn't use any of the programs that came with the camera, they all froze up my computer. I found Internet explorer worked fine, Edge and Chrome won't work. All the functions are controllable through Internet explorer once you know the IP address your router assigned and download the web plugin. Almost all the Chinese cameras seem to work that way. I included a picture the camera took of the lake and the camera zoomed at 20x to the house across the lake. Also included a sunset, very impressive.UPDATE 12/2018 So the camera has been outside over a year, no problems. Survived winter snow and summer heat. Still has a great picture. I have been using Blue Iris to monitor the camera which allows me to control it from both my phone and computer. I agree with everyone else, the computer and phone apps that the company recommends don't work and should not be tried. Internet Explorer does work to set it up and once Blue Iris found the camera, I did not had any trouble. The camera has never lost signal or rebooted. I don't use POE, I plug into the power adapter so have not had that issue. 5Great Security Camera, even better price. The camera is solidly built with a metal housing and comes well packed/protected with the bare essentials. You'll of course need to provide the other essentials for mounting the camera at the appropriate location ( fasteners, cable, power, etc) The installation of the camera was very easy and straightforward, I highly recommend following the included documents on the mini-disc that ships with it as it addresses the steps that need to be taken and most of the general operations of the camera.Once in its final home the camera has been working flawlessly. Auto-tracking works well with it but I cannot really use it where I have it mounted due to frequent vehicular traffic and a lot of trees that count as movement when the wind blows. If you are using this feature be sure the area being monitored normally does not have a lot of traffic.Image quality is great both day and night and the optical zoom feature is a definite plus, and is a great addition to my overall surveillance solution as it gives me great coverage over a very large area that would take several static cameras to do.I would have to say that the most attractive part of this camera though is it's pricing as it does what comparable cameras can do and more in some instances and those others cost a lot more. 5Pretty sure I got a unit that had already been ... Pretty sure I got a unit that had already been returned once. I could link to it at the default address but ptz controls just made it spin indefinitely. Going to the web interface, not changes I made would stick so I couldn't even change the default IP address. Autofocus seemed very bad as well but I'll return it and try another just to be sure. I am unable to get to the web interface.I will change from 1 star to 5 if someone please sends me instructions. 1Exceeded our expectations We use thousands of IP cameras every year, for the price, this camera exceeded our expectations. Worked well with Hikvision and Avigilon NVRs 4Warning Don't use money on this. Terrible software. Do not support the latest. No App for iOS that is possible to download (from China) 1Nice video quality. Installed the camera. Video quality seem very nice. Some questions. Where does the SD card go? I do not see a slot for it.Also, I am using this with Synology Surveillance station, although it works, I am not able to define my own presets (it fails).The camera appears to have 128 predefined position settings, but unable to delete or edit them either. Is anyone else using this camera with Synology?The instructions on the included dvd provide a QR code to download Iphone software, but it fails to do so. Is it actually available? 2THESE CAMERAS ARE JUNK I ordered this camera and was very impressed with the picture and overall operation of this unit. Within 3 weeks the camera failed. Just disappeared on the network. Reset to factory, still nothing. So I started to do my homework (as I should have before I bought it) and found that the Chinese company that makes the lens module (which consists of the lens, zoom, focus and CCD components and firmware) for this unit has had an almost 100% failure rate. When it works, it works great. But as far as I have read on the internet none have lasted over 6 months. Too bad the lens company can't get their shit together, this was a nice camera ... 1
