    Never had a bad install till using this product BUT after several tries I conquered the bubbles! Do have halos tho. Supershieldz Tempered Glass for Motorola G5 PlusI have never installed a tempered glass screen protector before but I have installed many others. Everyone gets me to do their's. They always come out perfect the first time. For this product, I read the instructions on the packaging. Watched the video. Anyone notice the instructions are different? It looks terrible. The bubbles would not push out. One really bad area did disappear after less than a day, but the other bubbles are still there. The edges on both sides have bubbles (halos) too. (I have a Spigen Rugged Armor case.) So I am not liking this product, so I do not recommend it.Update 1/9/18: I was contacted by Supershieldz after my one star review and not recommending the product. They offered to send me more of the product and asked I change my review. I agreed and accepted as long as they provided better instructions that would resolve my problems. Supershieldz recommended the vid instructions and steam install. I had already done both these. I did not get any further install help. I tried something different tho in hopes of a better install. He's what I did, which eliminated my bubble problem. Instead of running the shower for a short and steaming up the bathroom, I took a hot shower keeping the exhaust fan off and room door shut. The shower water ran the entire time. I then made sure my HVAC was off and not running. I brought my phone in the bathroom and did the install. I took the protective sheet off keeping the top side up while it was not over the phone, so dust could not drop onto my clean screen or the adhesive side of the protector. I had two tiny bubbles, which did not push out. They disappeared within hours. I now have a bubble free install. So I highly recommend the steam install the way I did it this last time with your very first install attempt.Halo wise. I found after my first install (this is my 3rd with this product) the hinge method did not work for me.This time what I did for that was really press and work the edges of the protector to encourage them to adhere. It helped some, but has not resolved that problem completely.So I am going to change my review from one to three (it's ok) stars because no bubbles now but still halos. 3they thought of everything! This product came in a very well-put-together, semi-hard-cased kit, and it was amazing. I'm super meticulous about doing things correctly, and this kit equipped me to do just that. Included in the kit were two sets of everything needed to accomplish applying the Supershieldz to two separate devices. The shieldz were in two separate sleeves. There were two packets of alcohol wipes (for cleaning the surface of the phone screen prior to application of the shieldz); two little buffing/cleaning cloths, also in separate sleeves; sticker bands for applying to the shieldz and phone, for absolutely accurate door-closure like placement/application; as well as instructions for application, including a web address so you can see a video clip of someone actually using all the kit parts to apply to a phone. These folks thought of everything, and it was a terrific experience. My phone is protected, and there are no bubbles and no lint trapped under the shieldz. Thank you for a great product and fabulous instruction! 5Super smooth and silky to the touch I bought this product mainly because the oleophobic coating on my phone's screen was defective and the smudges were really annoying. I had to clean the screen several times a day. The oleophobic coating on this screen protector seems to work very well, and I can go a lot longer between screen cleanings.Installation went pretty well. But despite careful preparation and cleaning, I still wound up with a tiny piece of lint under the protector, but no bubbles or anything like that. Just take your time and follow the instructions in the video. All in all, I think this is an excellent product, and they manufacturer has done a great job with including everything you need in the kit. 5it protects the screen my previous screen protector got a crack across the screen so i decided to replace it with the other from the 2-pack i bought at the time... sadly that second one got the dreaded dust speck and when i tried to clear that one more of the bastards joined the partyso i decided to buy another pack of protectors and suffer though the dust for a couple dayscompared to the original protectors i bought these are nicer... the others just had a wide notch for the speaker and front camera and another notch at the fingerprint scanner where these have holes for those things, the holes line up precisely and the protector covers the front glass quite well 5Go ahead, you won't be disappointed. I just got this 2 pack for the moto g5 plus tonight 12/2/2017 and installed one about 20 minutes ago. Assuming this screen protector has an actual hardness rating of something better than just glass (which is 5) and the protector doesn't lift up AND the somewhat oleophobic coating lasts a little while I think these are a solid 4 out of 5.Do some research on hardness ratings. The 9H that many are advertising is just bologna and that makes me take one star off just for what I feel is dishonesty. I believe I had read online that even gorilla glass is doing really well when it is tested in a lab and getting a 6 to 7 out of a possible 10 (diamonds are 10). The rating of 9H is just not possible for a few reasons.Enough of that. The packaging is top notch 5/5. The screen protectors come in an individual foam sleeve with their own small microfiber cloths for cleaning. There are 3 stickers to help line up the protector and apply it. There is one large sticker that is meant to pick up lint/dust on the screen before applying the protector. This is pretty much standard fare from what I can tell for most screen protectors not ordered on ebay from china.Before you install they tell you to go to their website and view the installation video, which I did, even though I have put on several of these over the years.I will say these screen protectors are pretty much run of the mill anymore. They had their time in the spotlight a few years ago when companies didn't feel guilty about charging up to $40 or so for one screen protector and people didn't think twice too much. Those days are friggen gone for anybody with half a brain. I don't know what they are charging anymore at the cell phone stores for their protectors but it is very easy to get very good quality protectors for $3-5 each.I like that this is a 2 pack just in case you screw one up then you have the practice one out of the way and you can put the second one on with hopefully more success.Unless this protector gets scratched badly, breaks (I have dropped a phone before and cracked that glass protector but the phone was fine) , or the oleophobic coating wears off, I don't see needing the second protector.I am using a Spiegen case from amazon for this moto g5 plus and I will say this protector is more snug against the edges which wasn't the case with the Mr. Shields protectors I got last week. I am only talking about a 1/64 of an inch difference probably but I notice it. I build commercial aircraft so working to 3 or 4 decimal places is not uncommon. I have this thing aligned about 98 percent perfect. I am hoping the pressure of the case doesn't cause the edges of the protector to lift at some point and cause an air bubble type of thing.I had one air bubble about 3/8th of an inch in diameter near the edge that would not press out. I am sure it would have cleared up on its own but i'm not patient. I took a hair dryer and heated up the screen. At one point the bubble just shrunk and disappeared in about 3 second.The oleophobic coating is not as good as I recall my new samsung flagship phones coating being but that is sort of a moot point since I always have covered up screens right away with glass protectors. It will show fingerprints of clean hands but it is much much less than a regular piece of glass. And I don't have other screen protectors with this coating to compare it to. I am sure there are some youtube videos where somebody is doing a comparison test.The only reason I bought these protectors after buying the Mr. Shields one last week was I made a mistake overlooked the fact that the ones I bought did not have the antifingerprint coating. They were just glass and the fingerprints were driving me up a wall. This is a big step up from those. I assumed every screen protector has the oleophobic coating.Go ahead and buy these. I checked the authenticity of the reviews using fakespot.com and this product got a B at the time. Oddly enough the same brand but different product got a lower grade for fake reviews. 4JUNK! This is the third pack I ordered. Why? You have to be extremely thorough. Looking at the videos give you a general idea. Pick a most dust free environment you can. First, you wash your hands. If you have any fans (ceiling or window) on, turn them off for at east 15-20 minutes before. Why? To keep the dust floating around at a minimum. Make sure the phone power is turned off. Align the shield up exactly to the phone face (upper AND lower). I put the "hinges" on the left side of the phone, because the power on and volume buttons are on the right side. Then, you clean the phone display. First you use the alcohol wipe and clean it thoroughly. Clean the camera, around the camera, around the speaker, clean EVERYWHERE! Then, us the included micro-fiber cloth to dry the display. Make sure EVERYWHERE is dry, otherwise you'll get a large air bubble where the screen protector won't stick. Next, use that round sticky tab - everywhere.: around and on the camera, on the sides and on the bottom, also. sticky it again and again and again. Then, when you are thoroughly satisfied that the display screen is thoroughly clean, you can peel off the plastic off the protector and as a door, place it on the display screen. Using the micro fiber cloth, smooth out from the center of the screen protector. Smooth out any bubbles from the center of the protector out toward the edges.Update 09/24/2017: Well, it was excellent for a few weeks. This morning,, all of a sudden, I noticed the left side starting to lift up. I never had that happen with any other phone. I had to order some others from a different vendor.11/15/2018 When will I learn.11/20/2018 Well the last of the SuperShielz gave up. I WENT THROUGH 5 PACKS. Each installed great! One did last several months, but all failed! What happens? They are installed perfectly. Then, after a couple days, or a couple weeks (for some), they start peeling off from the edges. Well, I ordered the Mr Shield 3 pack. Hopefully, those will last. 1Make sure the room is calm and clean. Turn the air filter machine on before you install it. Lastly, trust yourself. I must say, it probably better than Mr. Shield. Although I didn't have a chance to open Mr. Shield package. I bought two brands so I had 2(Super shield z)+3(Mr. Shield) chances to make it right. I took Super shieldz first because it says it has Oleophobic coating and 9H ultra hard coated. Real glass. Ultra clear and anti-fingerprint with extreme sensitive. And I believe that. I failed on the first glass, the position was a little lefty so I pluk it up and tried again with the same one, this time the position was even worse and there were some dust under the glass I suppose it came from my second tried and dust just slipped under it. I had no choice to use the other glass. This time I hold my breath with focus and a neutral mind, finally, I made it. That's why I didn't get a chance to use Mr. shield. I couldn't say which is better in way of 100% . But I can assure you that Super shieldz is trustworthy. I would purchase Super shieldz again when I need to. It's real as advertisement. 5Great product and customer service! Easy to put on per the instructions. Hard to get all of the bubbles out. On my first one I was able to get no bubbles in the center and only some minor ones on the edge. They were barely noticeable. Emailed customer support on what to do about the bubbles and they mailed me an extra protector for free to try again!Installed the second one on a second phone. That one wasn't so lucky. Got some minor bubbles towards the center and more of them. They weren't noticeable at all and I had forgotten about them within a few days. I did rush that one a little more compared to the first. I am sure I could have gotten better results if I had taken more time. Just got a little cocky after being able to do the first one.I thought the packaging were really well done. All the foam sleeves were there. Got a nice sturdy plastic case for the entire packaging. The cleaning cloth is good quality. And all the hinge stickers were great quality as well.Overall a very good buy. I do very much believe these tempered glass protector works. I've had one cracked on my Xperia Z1 and saw it first hand how well it worked. In that one it was a factory installed tempered glass. Protected the actual screen from cracking. This one has the same thickness so I would imagine it should have the same protection.Follow the most voted reviews on additional instructions to get dust out. They were very helpful to me.EDIT 5/31/19: On one of the phones I installed this on, the phone got dropped couple of times. Got more cracks on it each time although the first few were minor corner/side cracks. Then got the final drop which got me a spider web crack dead center. Finally decided to replace the tempered glass. Took the tempered glass out and found the inside screen perfectly fine! I've had 2 separate experiences on two different phone models using tempered glass protector and they really work! I am a firm believer in tempered glass protector now with 2 data points. I am putting on a replacement supershieldz tempered glass back on this phone! 4Simple install, good quality and great price. I've never used a tempered glass screen protector before... but since I had just picked up a new phone, figured why not? I mean, the cause of death of most of my phones is a cracked screen...I'm clumsy like that...So this one was a great price, came with a backup in the event I screwed something up and seemed to have good reviews.It arrived and I opened it. No instruction booklet, but there's a link to a great little YouTube tutorial that made the whole process super simple.I had used the phone for a few days prior to the screen protector arriving. So my screen was a nice swirl of fingerprints and smudges.The included cleaning supplies and three-step process got things back to shiny new fast.Then came the actual install. I used the "hinge" stickers on the button side of the phone and set to work lining up the screen protector. The only issue I have is that with the surface shape of the Moto G5 Plus, getting it to stay in place while I applied the hinge stickers wasn't quite as straight forward as the video showed.Still, it went without a hitch. Watching the air bubbles leave the rear of the protector was fun and I'm happy to say that on the first try, I have zero bubbles, dust or fingerprints (No small feat in a 100 year old house with a cat in it...)There's no rainbowing or visual distortion with the protector in place and my screen doesn't seem any less sensitive than it was before I installed it.I even have a backup should I need it. Can't complain at all :)Will definitely be looking to SuperShieldz should I need protectors for other devices.P.S. If you're looking for a case that plays well with this protector, the Spigen Rugged Armor Moto G5 Plus Case with Resilient Shock Absorption and Carbon Fiber Design for Moto G5 Plus - Black worked a treat for me! 5It worked fine and I ended up only using the one shield On installation, even if the phone is straight out of the box, you need to use the "dust absorber". My first attempt, I got an air bubble in a corner and it would not push out. I finally realized, pull the cover off, clean the face with the dust absorber, then, retry. It worked fine and I ended up only using the one shield. Use the dust absorber even if you never touched the face of the phone! Static electricity prevents good adhesion...it has nothing to do with "dust"! 3
