Customer Reviews

Good product, good price! We change filters monthly, so to find a Merv 11 filter at a good price is always a great deal. Work really well. Keep dust down inside the house with A/C running many hours/day. 5A good way to filter your air! A little apprehensive at first about buying these off brand filters but I wanted to experiment so threw caution to winds and purchased this in a box. After going through a couple of months of use, I am admittedly surprised in a pleasant way because the filters are working as intended. Very pleased with the purchase. And likely am going to remain a committed repeat buyer of these filters versus splurging ungodly amounts of money on the branded "Big Box Store" filters. 5Worth Waiting A Few Weeks For My favorite thing about these was the reviewer who complained that they don't last as long as his old filters, meaning they got clogged with dust, mold, lint, etc. in half the time. In other words, they actually filter the air. My second favorite thing is the cost per filter. Yes, they're made to order, so you need to order them a little in advance. Well worth the wait. 5Well built filters that won't buckle over time I like the fact that the outer frame was stiff enough to keep the filter from bending/creasing. So many filters have flimsy frames which allow them to fold under the negative pressure produced by the furnace blower (especially as the filter material gets plugged by dust). When this happens, dust will work it's way around the filter and be blown back into the house. For future orders, I will be using MERV 13 filters because they block pollens and allergens more effectively. MERV 11 filters are okay but I definitely suggest that users avoid MERV 8 filters (they let all kinds of contaminents through them). The difference in price is not that great and sacrificing your health is not worth saving a few bucks 5These are great! I have been ordering for a while now These are great! I have been ordering for a while now, and I have found that they reduce the amount of dust in the air quite a bit. I've had other filters that came out almost clean after 2-3 months, where these filters have tons of dust trapped in them even after 1 month. They cost about the same or less than the local store filters, but they are much better quality. 5Best Price / Performance Ratio I Have Found I use these filters exclusively in 3 different sizes and locations and I am very please with their performance and price. I have never found a better value. I can also attest to the fact that the company is very responsive to requests and offers exemplary customer service. And no, I have no connection with or obligation to them, I'm just a homeowner that is concerned with keeping the two HVAC systems I have to maintain performing at maximum efficiency at the lowest cost possible. These filters minimize dust intrusion into the house, keep the AC Evaporator clean longer, and flow good volume. In all, they are a perfect upgrade from the ultra cheap big box filters that really don't do anything more than catch the birds and trees. In my opinion, if you try a case, you'll never go back to any others.I do want to add though, that in my experience, the typical home air handler does not have a very good filter retention frame. In my older Trane air handler, the filter just slides into a flimsy pair of clips in the bottom of the furnace. I spent considerable time and effort to redesign that area with "C" section rails that support the edges of the filter on all 4 sides. This has resulted in significantly better filter performance since dust can't sneak around the sides and ends of the filter, and has also decreased the noise of the moving air substantially. I believe that most furnaces / air handlers could benefit from some improvement in that area. 5Do not waste your time or money on these! I really hoped that these filters would provide MERV 11 quality filtering at the offered price. I was very disappointed at the poor performance of the filters that I received that were marked as MERV 11, but were far from it. I could tell when I pulled the first filter out of the box and looked through it in the sunlight, that the very porous material would not filter out much of anything except hair and large particles. After a month and a half, and terrible dust on everything in the house, I had to pull it out and put in a 3M Filtrete brand (the purple model). Do not waste your money, contaminate your fan and ductwork with this poor quality junk. Now I have 11 filters to throw away, and learned a good lesson about this product. 1Perfect and economical In the past we've used Filtrete brand filters; however, our HVAC guy would always use a non-branded version. Our HVAC guy's filters always fit better (the Filtrete filters are slightly oversized, making them difficult to insert and remove, in fact, Filtrete filters cannot be removed from our furnace without destroying the filter.) However, the HVAC guy's filters are a more porous filter and don't remove as much from the air. These Glasgow filters fit perfectly and are dramatically cheaper than the name brands. They filter well and we change them about every 2 months. That's probably more frequently than is necessary, but since we started changing them more frequently we have dramatically less dust and the air simply feels cleaner.I just purchased our second 12 pack and couldn't be happier. 5Much cheaper and better quality than I can find in the local stores. This is the second box of Glasfloss filters we have purchased. Our overall experience has be excellent over the last two years. They last for 90 days with heavy AC use in the summer and about 6 months in the winter when we seldom use our furnace.I originally purchased these from Amazon because i could not find a local source for our 16" x 25" x 1" return register. I have since learned that the MERV rating of 11 is the second highest rating for a furnace filter. It basically traps everything but bacteria and viruses. With free shipping these filters are the lowest cost option that exceeds the quality of many other filters. The build quality has been very high with no problems. 5Once you go MERV, you never go back. Man o Man - why didn't I look into better quality and cheaper furnace filters years ago. Been buying from big box stores and not happy with the quality of their product for years. After some research into filter technology and the quality rating schemes (MERV vs. MPR vs. FPR), it is nothing more than big box stores manipulating the system to achieve their desired price margins.I'll stick with MERV (only nationally regulated, independent rating system for air filters) versus a rating system created and maintained by the big box store (nothing more than marketing gimmick that can change at any time).Overall, happy with these new filters. 5
