Arkon Camera Wall Mount for CCTV POV Camcorders CamerasFor those involved in 'beginner' level video or still photography content creation, this tool is incredible. It allows for a bomb proof set up, incredible flexibility & the strength to handle almost any gear.If you need a reliable and flexible mount to get those crucial 'bird's eye' workbench shots, this fits the bill perfectly. By installing the mounting plate on the underside of a sturdy shelf above your workbench, you will be able to easily capture all the action as you create your cool stuff.Until now, I've been reasonably happy with a couple of Arkon Camera Clamp Mounts. The thing is: they are a BEAR to adjust - the strength required to bend the gooseneck, and the limited range of the swivel head make it a real chore to change your setup.Now that I've experienced the ease of use, quality construction and reliability of this unit, I'll RARELY use the Clamp Mounts.Couldn't be happier. Thank you for creating a product that precisely meets the needs of this particular Maker. 5Not very strong Mounted a Sony PD170. Needed a pair of pliers to tighten lower clamps. Upper clamp insufficient. Afraid of breaking it. Camera moves with little provocation. Only position clamp works is vertical. Any other adjusted angles and camera starts drifting down from the weight. Mounted vertically I can still move the camera with little effort. NOT heavy duty. Good for a small lightweight camera I suppose. 2Used for a pico projector Well, this product does what it says it will do. I bought it to hold a small pico projector and point it at my ceiling. The anchors were easy to install and it holds the weight pretty well. The adjustable joints make almost any orientation possible, however they are a little finicky to adjust. Once I found my optimal orientation, I tightened all the joints and haven't moved it since. I'm not sure how much weight this could hold, since my projector is very light, but I've tested its resistance with the anchors and it's pretty sturdy, but for really heavy cameras I would suggest trying to attach it to a stud. 5Very sturdy and very flexible. Great for permanent or semi-permanent camera mounting. Super flexible camera mount.I can't think of a configuration this fixed mount won't accommodate. The only weird thing is the camera mount itself requires you to twist the entire mount to fit it to the camera. Easy enough once you realize. Maybe they did this to improve the steadiness. If you need to put a camera on and off the mount frequently this isn't for you.Came with screws which allowed me to mount the mount to a wood block for permanent placement. 5Perfect Bought this to mount a Cannon 80D to my wall to save some room / not use a tripod for filming videos. Easy to install, easy to adjust position. Tightens up well, and doesn't slip. Probably could support more weight than what I use it for! 5Highly recommended Love this mount! It is easy to install, sturdy, and works as described. I use it to film overhead painting videos and like that I can lower it to keep it out of my headspace while painting in my studio on non filming days. It folds perfectly flat against the wall when not in use. Very nice. The joints stay put when tightened so camera does not jitter. 5Perfect for a small projector that can also use a camera-tripod mount. It's great! Price on this was about five times as much as the first mount I ordered--but the sturdiness, quality, fit, and finish were FAR better than the first one. This mounted easily and quickly. The adjustments are almost infinitely variable, and since this is made of cast and machined aluminum you will not worry about this fracturing, bending, falling, or breaking--nor will your worry about your expensive camera or projector falling due to failure of the mount.Another great aspect of this mount? If you were a little off in your measuring for mounting your projector (mine is an LG PF1500 1080p native-res) this will allow you to orient your projector right, left, forward, or back, as long as the mount is low enough to permit those adjustments. For example, my screen's viewing area is approximately 9.5" below the ceiling, and the top of my projector's image begins at the center of its lens. If I need to make adjustments I would want to have the mount far enough from my ceiling to allow a bend in the mount, which would then move the top of the image upward somewhat, toward the ceiling. In other words, if you want such adjustments attach the mount to a wooden block, etc. to get it a little lower, so that adjusting the joints won't raise your projector above where you need it to be.At any rate, I have not found any ceiling mount for a small projector like mine that provides the range of adjustment yet is so sturdy. I have no reservations about heartily recommending this one! 5Shorter than described This is a nice, sturdy arm with one major flaw- it's not 8" like the description stated. from the back of the ball joint to the screw to mount the camera, it's only 6.75 inches. I really needed that extra 1.25 inches to see over the edge of a cabinet. So three star for inaccurate description. 3Very sturdy solution for tripod mount projector When I bought a projector to replace my TV, I went with an LED version that happened to have a tripod mount. For those of you thinking of going down that path, it's important to note that a "universal" projector mount will not, in fact, work with a tripod mount projector. I was able to find a mount that worked for few months, but then the ball joint failed, and it was impossible to keep the projector pointed in the right place. I found this to replace it, and I am very happy with the purchase. It is very sturdy, and there are multiple joints that can be maneuvered for a very precise screen placement. 5Durable and versatile I may have put this to unorthodox use, but I am extremely pleased with how it has performed. I live in a rather small space that requires me to squeeze multiple uses out of the things that I own. I just don't have room to spare. I used this mount and an aluminum T-track to hang a small LED projector from the ceiling. The T-track allows the projector to slide across the room, and Arkon's mount allows me to reorient the projector's beam. I point the projector at my desktop in place of a monitor while working, and I fire it across the room at a wall to make a wonderfully immersive theater-like experience in the evenings. In other words, I reposition the Arkon mount frequently. After roughly six months of daily repositioning, its aluminum body has proven to be durable, showing few if any signs of wear. The range of articulation is also excellent, allowing me to direct the beam wherever it is needed. The thee points of articulation are easy to tighten and loosen, and each is very secure after tightening. At least for my goofy use, this has been a fantastic product. 5
