Description

Product Description The hottest young voices in urban literature and New York Times bestselling authors of 'The Cartel' series, Ashley & JaQuavis now bring you ''Murderville'' -- the first book in a highly anticipated new trilogy. Two children from Sierra Leone, Liberty and A'shai, are brought together by chance, only to be forced apart by the most inevitable and tragic fate. Ashley & JaQuavis bring us this classic love story set against modern life's most horrifying realities. Liberty is dying of a fatal heart condition, though she desperately wants to survive until her twenty-fifth birthday, when her sister has promised to visit her. A'shai blames himself for not protecting Liberty, but all Liberty asks is for A'shai to tell her a story, to help her remember what brought them to this point. He knows that this is the last story he will ever tell--and the last she will ever hear. As Liberty lies dying, A'shai walks her through their past, reliving their ill-fated journeys through the streets. Their story will take them from an arranged marriage, through Mexico's drug cartel, child brothels, and hustling in Detroit, to escaping the high-powered heads of LA ' underworld. But ultimately, this is a story of love and redemption that will leave you breathless from the unpredictable and mind-blowing ending. Review Praise for Ashley & JaQuavis: ''Their work has been regarded as some of the premiere titles that have led the way for this growing phenomenon of gritty tales.'' -- Urban Book Source About the Author ASHLEY JAQUAVIS is the pen name of the New York Times bestselling duo responsible for the popular Cartel series. They live in Flint, Michigan, where they are working on future projects.

Customer Reviews

ExcellentI love! I cannot wait until the sequel! This is a classic in the waiting. Please, please do not mess this up. I need a revival from this team because with the Cartel, I am seriously losing hope. This real true love. The dynamics of A'shai and Liberty is musically beautiful. From putting himself on the outside of family and straight into danger from the very beginning to repeating the same fate again as an adult is real love and a love worth starting wars over. Take notes Carter. The heart ache and losses are great but overshadowed by their love but the end was heart breaking. Beautiful opera to the core. Well done my favorite authors! 5Love this bookLove this book, and the fact that I got all three are the books makes it even better. Great story line. 5there was also a great love between two that survived Obstacles that most would ...This story may have been non-fiction, but the storyline itself really opened my eyes up to the sudden growth of human trafficking all around the world..it felt so real to me and I'm sure The storyline had to come from somewhere holdin some bits of truth. Although it was truly heartbreaking, there was also a great love between two that survived Obstacles that most would never live through. I really enjoyed the read reading this book...these two authors really know how to keep a reader on the edge of their seat. 5DisappointedLet's just start by saying I love Ashley and JaQuavis I look forward to reading their novels....but this book was a disappointment. I loved the beginning but as I read on it started to get on my nerves I hated the ending which if I must say so myself was very predictable.I'm not even going to entertain part 2 the bus stops here. Hopefully the Cartel 4 will be a good read.I love you guys but your endings are starting to all be the same. Not feeling this book at all. 2As Fate Would Have It!Loved it, loved it, loved it! I am sooo glad Ashley and JaQuavis now have their books on the Kindle. I was able to read every chance I got...on my Kindle, on my phone, on my IPad...And to read a book like Murderville made me really love my gadgets. Now, I really enjoy the street books and seeing all the action happening on the streets, but I think what I loved most about this book didn't have anything to do with street life. What I loved most about this book was how Ashley and JaQuavis brought two very different worlds together. Both worlds can be extremely lucrative, they're equally as dangerous and they both destroy lives, but I've never seen them written about this way. Ashley and JaQuavis whole writing style and how they bring a story full circle is truly entertaining. I'm so thrilled that this is a trilogy. 5Excellent Read!Murderville: First of a Trilogy (Murderville Trilogy).....This book was a great read! I completed it in one day and was mad as hell because it ended! A'shai and Liberty's story will inspire and captivate. It was a moving tale from cover to cover! Willow and Baron are truly amazing and I cried and felt the loss. Nico was a straight bitch but he played an important character and took hater to a different level. In the next installment( which I am ordering) I hope Baron finds peace and I wonder if the Murder Mama's are affiliated with Shai's home. I look forward to going through this journey with you guys and thank you for the ride! 5What a powerful love story! So i finally decided to read this book once i knew part 2 was out. Even though i have read alot of A&J titles, for some reason i did not get around to this one. Lol maybe it was the title. Anyway, i am so glad i finally did! Wow this book was off the hook epecially when i realived it tied in a little bit the the famed Cartel series. This was a story of love that started in Africa and moved all the way to the U.S! The tragedies and abuse these poor kids had to endure was heartbreaking. It also gave you a look inside the disgusting human trafficing business. Some of the parts had me in utter shock and it is sad to know that this really goes on in the world. In typical A&J fashion, as soon as things finally start looking up tragedy strikes smh. I was so upset at the end i almost threw the book! I am now ready for part 2 and i hope there is some good news to ofset the sad ending of one. So get this book if you have not read it yet! Definately a page turner! 5Liberty for alla'shai and liberty was brought together my faith and force apart by fate, when a'shai father came to liberty village and killed everyone there a'shai felt soon for what happen he couldn't do the thing's his father wanted him to do and murder was out but when he came to the door and seen liberty he ask his father could he take her with him and his father said yes. Little did they know that there life would change for every and they will fall in love and things will change will they find each other and love again, or will drugs and money killed them read this and find out what happen to them, I cryed I laugh I got mad this was a very good story. 5this a must read...They did it again.. This book was a page turner from first page. I love the story but sad how it ended. If your looking for a great book to read this is it. Also the whole Cartel series. This book will have you sitting in complete shock waiting to find out what happens next and wondering how and why will it happen. It also teaches you the real meaning of love and true loyalty while there are people out in this cold world to take everything from you with all of their soul. Even the strongest of wolves have one weakness that will have them do things they normally wouldn't do without thinking it out before reacting. I love this book. The Authors are fabulous with the gift they have to write these books. 5steady down hillDon't get me wrong the trilogy was very very interesting my point is the first book was dynamite could not put it down the second book it stayed on the story but it was not as interesting the third story book hands down someone got bored and just want to finish the book and get paid that's just my pain I know it's got rave reviews and as I said very interesting trilogy but I would appreciate it if the writers of state on point from 2 & 3 first we both know no man is going to let a woman kill his boss and walk out the door and he has been standing with this man for 20 years he would have been the one to kill her!! And why did you make Liberty so weak book 2&3 you put her through so much in book 1 why did you let her down two and three the book one from the real to the fantasy which I guess is OK but personally I like it when you keep it real 100 percent and let me add this when she had sex with her father she would have never left Africa keep it real next time just one girl's opinion. 3
