    Great upgrade from stock on my 2009 wrxWent in my 2009 Subaru WRX and fit perfect . ended up drilling and mounting it on stock mounts which fitted much nicer and was easy to do. used these wiring harness's 2 of Metra 72-8104 Speaker Connector for Select Toyota Vehicles and it fit my subaru perfect . so far they sound great and very pleased sounds twice as better then stock day and night difference . with a little more bass would buy again in a heartbeat 5An Extremely Good Value in this PackageI used these speakers to replace the factory speakers in a 2012 Accord Coupe. My biggest concern was fitting in the factory locations. The 6.5" speakers required the Honda adapters (purchased separately) and fit perfectly in the doors and rear deck. The tweeters fit into the sail panel once the outer ring was removed and the circle in the sail panel split open to allow for expansion. I then glued the Alpine tweeters in place and used the foam disks to press them forward.The Alpine speakers are very well made. The magnet is large and the choke and capacitors used for crossovers are large and top quality. The rubber surround is designed for a large amount of excursion. I hooked these up to a new Pioneer GM-D8604 with 100 watts RMS that was hooked up to the factory head unit.One thing about purchasing car speakers these days that I do not like is that you can not go to a store that has them all set up and switch from one set to the next real time to determine what you like, except for Walmart that there was nothing there that I liked. One is left with reviews and writing about how speakers sound is like dancing about the flavor of apple pie..... difficult to convey from one human to the next.Anyway, I think they sound very good and are an upgrade over the sound of the factory speakers. When combined with the amp they can elevate the level of detail to hear aspects of the music that were missing before. They do not do bass very well and need a subwoofer. The treble, at least with my factory head unit, was a bit harsh. I found that turning the treble control on the Head Unit down-3 or -4 took this away while still leaving lots of detail in the vocals.After doing a lot of shopping on line I was thinking that I needed to spend $200 to get this level of speaker and was pleased to find this deal. They were the last item to arrive and the communication with the shipper was not at normal Amazon standards, but all worked out well in the end. 410/10 excellent product and package deal!!Installed in my 2011 Jetta and wow I wish I would have done this years ago! If you have decent mechanical skills you can totally install at home! With basic tools! 5Great speakers, mediocre supportI made a mistake installing these (my bad), but Alpine requires you buy all new speakers instead of replacing one tweeter or woofer if you make a mistake. Not willing to help you source a single replacement. Wasteful and expensive.Sound is great for the price, but mids and highs tend to be a bit screechy at high volume, even with tuning from a 12 band eq and 60 hours of break in. 4Great Deal - Perfect for 1999 Chevy TahoeThe component speakers by themselves cost as much as this package. The additional 610s are a bonus.These speakers took care of all 4 doors on my 1999 Chevy Tahoe - Installation was pretty straight forward, no cutting and only needed to drill a few new holes in the front door's metal to accommodate the holes on the Alpines (because you need to spin them a bit to make them fit).Great deal, great sound 5Amazing speakers for the price but definitely needs an aftermarket ...Amazing speakers for the price but definitely needs an aftermarket amp for it to come alive. I'm using a Rockford fosgate R600-4d 4 channel amp to power 6 of these. 1 component set and 2 coaxial. My neighbor has the type r and all though the can handle more power and sound a bit clearer, it isn't much and doesn't justify the price upgrade. The type s were over engineered for its class of speaker resulting in a great speaker for highs and mids when paired with a good amp. 5but it was a very good deal for what I wantedThese speakers are very crisp and bright. Installed with a Kenwood DNX-6190. Had stock Ford audiophile system, had to do some custom work to get these in, which I was aware of, but it was a very good deal for what I wanted. Also added the Alpine KTP445U for the front and it made a lot of difference with the tweeters. Sounds great and gets loud. Still very crisp with two Rockford P2 10s. I did spend a lot of time tuning though. 4Great start to an upgraded stereo!Hooked them up to an Alpine power-pack (see my other review) and these sound awesome! Total night any day difference, almost don't even need a sub now!! so if your getting these and want some extra juice, come up with the other $110 and get the power-pack too, you wont regret it! 5Nice speakers, low efficiency. DO NOT POWER WITH <60W RMS.If you have an 80w RMS amp, you'll do fine. HOWEVER. Don't try and give yourself "headroom" with these. They are rated 88db / watt. Some of the other more efficient speakers are rated 93db / watt; that's a staggering 3.1x difference in volume (google "Speaker Sensitivity" and learn more).For emphasis, my advice for the following power configurations:- "I want to run these off my deck" - DO NOT BUY- "I want to run these off of my 40w RMS per channel amplifier" - DO NOT BUY- "I want to run these off of my 60w RMS per channel amplifier" - consider- "I want to run these off of my 80w RMS per channel amplifier (and have run sufficiently large wires to support this power load)" - BUYReplaced my Tucson 2011 factory speakers with these, after upgrading everything but. Running on a 40 watt RMS amp. They sound much better (warmer), but my amplifier is the limiting factor and I cannot push them much louder than I could my factory speakers. 4Terrible. I have $5 battery powered Bluetooth speakers that are better.These speakers, paired with an OEM stereo are absolutely horrible. I read reviews where someone replaced OEM speakers with these and were amazed at the quality . Lol. Not so much. 1
